This Southern artist has a style of her own. NJ Woods grew up in the historic and tight-knit community of Orange Mound in Memphis, TN. These deep southern roots are reflected in her beautiful work, depicting a whimsical view of African American history as well as the history of an era when the phrase "Cotton is King" was once the order of the day.
